A few scattered festivals this summer with Erin in WA,
MA, ME and OR. Come check them out
-The Great North Sound Society, my farmhouse studio in ME is undergoing some great additions this summer with a new bathroom and some windows that actually work! This is where we recorded the Josh record this past winter. In between sanding floor boards and stripping doors, there will be some other visitors making music up there this summer including Erin Mckeown, Bill Fagley, Mahri Elinoff, Jason Myles Goss..
New logo for the studio can be seen here (www.greatnorthsoundsociety.com) and look out for a myspace page for the house.

New news:
Letterman:
Thanks to everybody who tuned in. And for those who missed it, I'm told it's available on youtube.com if you want to check it out.
Josh Ritter:
Just finished a lengthy stint of recording, producing Josh's upcoming album in Maine. It will be a while before the world hears this stuff as there are still many steps that have to be taken, but we're all very excited about it. Stay tuned for updates...
Best Bartender of Boston:
Many already know Ari, my girlfriend, and have tasted her delicious cocktails at Chez Henri in Boston or seen her in Josh's "Lillian Egypt" video. Currently, "The Improper Bostonian" magazine is holding its annual contest for best bartender of Boston and I'm encouraging one and all to vote (for her of course). Below is a link to download the very short ballot which must be faxed or mailed in. Go for it!!

Langhorne Slim
Recording is finished for his new record to be released on V2 that we did up in Maine at my place. It was a great time co producing and playing with these guys and I can't wait for the record to be released (probably Jan-Feb 2007). But, in the meantime they are releasing an EP that was recorded and produced a few months ago in Chicago by Brian Deck (Iron and Wine, Josh Ritter) that I also had the privilege to play on. I believe the official release date for that is tomorrow (9/19/06). Also check out his blurb on pitchfork! (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/2006/8/31/Exclusive_Langhorne_Slim_Signs_to_V2_Readies_EP#38263)
Langhorne and his band can be found on the road right now with another band called the Two Gallants. Check out Langhorne Slim's site for shows (www.langhorneslim.com)

48 Hour Film Festival.
I joined up with "Overjoyed Productions" and "Our Hero Productions" this past weekend to write the original score also in 48 hours. Friday evening we drew out of a hat the genre "musical" and 48 hours later out came "PAPERBOY!", our official entry. If any Bostonians are interested in seeing a screeing, there is one at the kendal square cinema this wednesday the 12th. One at 7 and one at 9:30 I believe. For non-locals, I'll have a link up soon so everyone can see our 7 minute work of comedic genius.
